2019 Builder Award Winners
2019 Builder Award Winners – With 2019 coming to a close in less than a month, it’s time for us to pay homage to our builder partners who have been awarded this calendar year. The BILD awards stands for the Building Industry and Land Development Association and began in 1980. At this black-tie ceremony every year, all stages of bringing a development to fruition are celebrated.
Awards are given for excellence in design, construction, sales and marketing of new homes across the GTA. The Pinnacle awards are the most prestigious of the evening. They include best builder for various categories. Voting is conducted by the public and new home purchasers. Here’s a list of the pinnacle award winners from the 39th annual BILD awards:
Project of the Year, Mid/High-Rise and Best New Community (Built):
Urban Capital Property Group for M3 Condos in Mississauga
The tallest condominium in Mississauga soaring 81 storeys high and featuring 900 units. M3 is slated to be completed in 2023 and is the third tower at M City Condos. A beautiful addition to the downtown Mississauga skyline, it’s twisting design is remarkable. M3 Condos is unlike anything in the GTA has seen before, therefore this award is very well deserved.
Project of the Year, Low-Rise:
Treasure Hill Home Corp. for Charbonnel
One of our preferred builder partners, Treasure Hill, is back this year with yet another BILD award. This time for Charbonnel in midtown Toronto. These bespoke townhomes in the Summerhill area boast a 88 walk score and are move in ready by summer 2020. They feature underground parking, private elevators and beautiful rooftop terraces. Best New Community (Planned/Under Development):
Lakeview Village
We are very excited about Lakeview Village. Lakeview Village should be coming to market by the end of 2020. A master planned community by the lake in Mississauga. Home Builder of the Year, Mid/High-Rise and Green Builder of the Year:
Tridel
Building in Toronto since 1934. Tridel has an amazing 11 condominium projects on the go in Toronto. Also, congratulations to Tridel who is leading the pack of home builders in sustainability accomplishments. Tridel is one of the most prolific condominium builders in Toronto. To date their efforts have saved 2.6 Billion MJ of energy. 1.26 Billion Litres of water saved and over 35,000 square metres of green roof installations. They have also diverted 48 Million KG of waste.
Home Builder of the Year, Low-Rise:
Great Gulf
Great Gulf is a 5 time winner of this award. They are a very prominent builder across the GTA and North America. Their most recent project was the fast-selling 8 Cumberland in prestigious Yorkville. Stay tuned for more great new projects by Great Gulf.
People’s Choice Award:
Aouyan International for M2M Condos
The people have voted…congratulations to Aouyan International and their massively successful project M2M Condos. Coming to Yonge and Finch, M2M is a master planned community with 5 condominium towers combined with a large podium. M2M is it’s own city with direct subway access.
