Donald Bren, who was born in 1932, started by building one family home in Orange County, California. He financed it with a $10,000 loan from the Bank of America. In 1970 Bren sold his company for a whopping $34 Million. He later bought that same company back two years later during a recession for $22 Million. Now that’s great deal making!

By 1977, the infamous Irvine Company was selling their business which included the ownership of a highly coveted 185 square mile ranch. Bren put THE RIGHT PEOPLE together to help him acquire the Irving company. Their bid was $337 Million. Years later, Bren bought out all his partners to become the sole shareholder and has never looked back.

Today, Bren has developed numerous commercial and residential properties. The Irvine company owns over 110 million square feet of investment properties. Their vast portfolio is highly DIVERSIFIED ranging from apartment buildings to golf courses. On a personal side, Donald Bren donates over 1 Billion to worthy charities. He is happily married with 7 children and resides in sunny California.
